Waypoint System - Overview

The Waypoint System is IglaOTS's custom fast-travel network, connecting towns, hunting grounds and other locations through monuments placed around the world.

Discover waypoints during your travels to build your own network of destinations. Once unlocked, a location can be reached from another discovered waypoint for 10 Igla Tokens per trip.

Feature Details
Waypoint locations 87 locations across the world
Discovering a waypoint Free
Travel cost 10 Igla Tokens per trip, regardless of distance
Payment sources Carried inventory and Supply Stash
Departure point Beside a discovered waypoint monument
Discovery progress Saved separately for each character
Required client IglaOTS Client

Every destination must be discovered first. Reach its monument and use it to unlock the waypoint. Discoveries are saved for your character and remain available after relogging.

Discovering Waypoints

Before a waypoint becomes available as a travel destination, your character must reach its monument and use it. Simply walking nearby does not unlock the waypoint.

Discovering a waypoint is free and does not require any Igla Tokens.

  1. Find a waypoint monument and stand beside it on the same floor.
  2. Use the monument. On your first use, the waypoint is unlocked for your character.
  3. The Travel Network window opens automatically, with the newly discovered waypoint added to your destinations.

A confirmation message appears when you discover a new waypoint. For example, discovering the waypoint in Thais displays:

You unlock the travel network node: Thais.

The monument's appearance changes for your character after discovery. Other players may see a different discovery state at the same monument.

Discoveries are saved separately for each character. Unlocking a waypoint with one character does not unlock it for other characters on the same account.

Your discoveries are saved on the server and remain available after relogging. You only need to discover each waypoint once per character.

How To Travel

Use a discovered waypoint monument to open the Travel Network and travel to another location your character has already unlocked.

  1. Stand beside a discovered waypoint on the same floor.
  2. Use the monument to open the Travel Network window.
  3. Select another destination from the list or by clicking its marker on the map. Only waypoints discovered by your character are available.
  4. Click Travel to confirm your choice. Make sure you have at least 10 Igla Tokens in your carried inventory and Supply Stash combined.
  5. If the travel requirements are met, 10 Igla Tokens are deducted and your character is teleported. The window closes automatically after successful travel.

Selecting a destination centres the map on that location. Your character only travels after you click Travel.

The current waypoint is marked (here) in the list. The Travel button becomes available when you select another destination.

Stay beside a discovered monument when confirming travel. You must be within one tile of it, including diagonally, on the same floor. To make another trip after arriving, approach and use a waypoint monument again.

Travel Cost And Payments

Each trip to another available destination costs 10 Igla Tokens, regardless of distance. A return journey is a separate trip and costs another 10 tokens.

Action Cost
Discover a waypoint Free
Open or close the Travel Network window Free
Browse destinations or manage favourites Free
Travel to another available destination 10 Igla Tokens
Travel to a destination and back 20 Igla Tokens

Payment is taken automatically in the following order:

  1. Carried inventory: the system uses the Igla Tokens carried by your character first.
  2. Supply Stash: any remaining amount is taken directly from your stash. You do not need to withdraw the tokens manually.

For example, if you carry 3 Igla Tokens and have 7 in your stash, both amounts are combined to pay for one trip. The token counter in the Travel Network window shows your combined inventory and stash balance.

When stash tokens are used, the game displays a message showing the amount taken. For the example above:

Using 7x igla tokens from your stash.

  • If your carried inventory and stash contain fewer than 10 Igla Tokens in total, the trip cannot proceed.
  • A rejected attempt to travel to the destination you are already at does not charge tokens.
  • If the teleport fails after payment, a refund is attempted. Refunded tokens are added as inventory items, including any tokens originally taken from the stash.

Travel Network Interface

Use a waypoint monument to open the Travel Network. The window combines a list of your discovered destinations with a map, allowing you to find and select the waypoint you want to travel to.

Element Function
Destinations Lists the waypoints discovered by your character.
Favourites Shows your discovered destinations marked as favourites.
Heart icon Adds a destination to favourites or removes it from the list.
Type to search Filters the destination list by name. You can enter a full name or just part of it.
Map and markers Show your discovered waypoints. Drag the map to view another area or click a marker to select a destination.
Floor buttons Change the floor displayed on the map.
(here) Marks the waypoint used to open the window.
Token counter Shows your combined Igla Token balance from carried inventory and Supply Stash.
Selected: [name] Displays the destination you have selected.
Travel Confirms the trip. The button is enabled when you select a destination other than the current waypoint.
Close / Escape Closes the window without travelling.

Selecting a destination from the list centres the map on it. Clicking a map marker also selects that waypoint. Your character only travels after you click Travel.

Search works in both tabs and ignores letter case. For example, entering dar finds Darashia if your character has discovered it. Search and favourites filter the destination list; the map continues to show your discovered waypoints.

If the list is empty, clear the search field and switch to Destinations. An empty Favourites tab or a search with no matches does not mean your discoveries have been lost.

Favourites are saved locally in the client for each character. Your favourites list may differ when you use another computer or client installation.

Discovered waypoints are saved on the server. A different favourites list does not remove your unlocked destinations.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Click a question below to view its answer.

How do I discover a waypoint?

Reach the monument, stand beside it on the same floor and use it. The waypoint is unlocked for your character and the Travel Network window opens automatically. Simply walking nearby does not discover it.

How much does travelling cost?

Each trip costs 10 Igla Tokens, regardless of distance. A return trip costs another 10 tokens. Discovering a waypoint and opening or browsing the Travel Network are free.

Can I pay with tokens from my Supply Stash?

Yes. The system uses carried tokens first, then takes any remaining amount directly from your Supply Stash. Both sources can be combined to cover one trip. You do not need to withdraw stash tokens manually.

Are discovered waypoints shared across my account?

No. Discoveries are saved separately for each character. Every character must visit and use the monuments to unlock its own destinations.

Do I need to discover waypoints again after relogging?

No. Your discoveries are saved on the server and remain available after relogging. You only need to discover each waypoint once per character.

Why is a destination missing from my list?

First, check whether that character has discovered the waypoint. If it has, clear the search field and switch from Favourites to Destinations. You can also check the Waypoint Locations list to confirm that the location has a waypoint.

Why is the Travel button disabled?

Select a destination other than the current waypoint. The waypoint used to open the window is marked (here) in the list. Selecting another destination enables the button, but all travel requirements must still be met.

Can I travel from anywhere after opening the window?

No. When confirming travel, you must remain within one tile of a discovered monument, including diagonally, on the same floor. To make another trip after arriving, approach and use a waypoint monument again.

Can I travel while the combat indicator is active?

An active PZ lock always blocks travel. The regular combat condition blocks travel outside a Protection Zone. Inside a Protection Zone, that condition alone does not block travel, provided you have no PZ lock and meet the remaining requirements.

Why does the same monument look different to another player?

The monument's appearance reflects each character's discovery state. A character that has unlocked it can see a different appearance from one that has not.

Why are my favourites different on another computer?

Favourites are saved locally in the client for each character. They may differ on another computer or client installation. Your discovered waypoints remain saved on the server, so a different favourites list does not remove your unlocked destinations.

Where can I find the exact waypoint coordinates?

Exact coordinates are intentionally not published. Finding the monuments is part of exploring the world and building your travel network. The Waypoint Locations list confirms which locations have a waypoint; you need to find and use each monument yourself.

Are there level requirements, cooldowns or daily travel limits?

The Waypoint System itself has no separate level, vocation or premium requirement, and no dedicated travel cooldown or daily trip limit. Reaching a particular location may still require its normal access conditions. Each trip requires an unlocked destination, a valid departure point, 10 Igla Tokens and an allowed combat state.
