New Bestiary Reward System
Overview
In the new edition we’re introducing several progression systems (Weekly/Kill/Bounty Tasks and Weapon Proficiency). To make them work well, we need players to naturally explore the whole map.
Because charms alone weren’t enough as a motivation, completing Bestiary entries now grants Experience Points (EXP).
Bestiary Completion = EXP Reward
When you finish a Bestiary entry, your character receives a real, scaling EXP reward (not cosmetic). The reward scales with your character level.
How the EXP is calculated
The base value is taken from the Weekly Task EXP calculator (Rila):
tibiapal.com/weekly_tasks
The calculated EXP is then multiplied by the current EXP Stage.
Example (Level 110):
Base: 219,341 EXP (≈ 37.26% progress from 110 → 111)
EXP Stage = ×8:
219,341 × 8 = 1 754,728 EXP
Difficulty Categories (based on monster stars)
Difficulty is directly tied to the monster’s star rating:
⭐ / ⭐⭐ → Beginner
⭐⭐⭐ → Adept
⭐⭐⭐⭐ → Expert
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ → Master
EXP Caps (balance limits) & Exclusions & Limitations
To keep the system fair for low, mid and high levels, category caps apply:
Beginner: max 800,000 EXP
Adept: max 3,200,000 EXP
Expert: max 12,000,000 EXP
Master: capped at 16% of the EXP required for the next level
Example (Level 1450 – Master):
Base: 4,196,308 EXP (≈ 4.00% progress to 1451)
After ×4: 16,785,232 EXP
This equals 16% of the EXP needed for level 1451
Exclusions & Limitations
For balance reasons:
Event monsters and rare entries that require only 5 kills are excluded from this system.
Bestiary completion EXP is NOT multiplied by:
EXP boosts
Premium Stamina
Permanent ×2 Bestiary Bonus
Alongside this change, we are introducing a permanent ×2 Bestiary kill bonus.
Reminder: kill bonuses can stack (examples):
+1 kill for boosted category
+1 kill during a Bestiary event
+1 kill with an active Bestiary potion
+1 kill on influenced monsters
+2 kills on fiendish monsters
Faster Respawns for Low-Point Bestiary Creatures
Monster respawn timers for creatures typically used in quick Bestiary entries (5/15 points) will be faster, to reduce frustration and improve the early-game experience.
Why we’re adding this
This system ties the new edition together by:
- supporting Weapon Proficiency progression
- naturally integrating with Weekly/Bounty/Kill Tasks
- encouraging exploration across the entire map
- increasing supply of items needed for delivery-style tasks
- making Bestiary progression rewarding at every stage of the game
